Top Players need to settle down

Look, I know I am still kinda a noob and I need to "respect my elders" but I don't think that just because you have been playing winbolo for a long time gives you the right blame losses on everyone besides themselves. Granted in some cases they are right, BUT they are not perfect themselves and need to SETTLE DOWN! It is JUST A GAME, and I won't name names, because I still like playing with these people and I have nothing against anyone, but c'mon people. If you are playing with allies in a 2x2, 3x3, etc, give them a break...if you f***ed up that game (and we all have our bad games) then just freakin admit it...no one is gonna say you suck. So...to quote the words of a wise man..."Can't we all just get along?" :)

hehe, ur right. Well, good fuckin' luck @ getting them 2 admit their mistakes, i know i wouldn't in most cases. I do, however, get pissed off when they keep complaining for half an hour after the game instead of just playin' a fuxing r33match!

Yeah, I've noticed almost an epidimic of the more skilled players systematically blamming the lower skilled player for losing the game, or making a lot of mistake - I have been unfortunately guilty of this at times. And you're right, it's counter-productive to go around blaming each other after a game is over. It really decreases the pleasure of the game for everyone - even the one casting the blame. And the less pleasure we have playing this game, the less often people will play the game, thus giving them less of an opportunity to get their lgms killed.

Anyway, yesterday I played a series of interesting games. I lost about 4-5 2v2s with different people. Sure it was a little frustrating at times, as it tends to be when you know you're screwing something that you know you can do better. However, overall, I still enjoyed those game because neither my ally, not myself blamed each other and we had absolutely no argument over the game. And thus I was willing to keep putting myself into more games even though I knew I was playing pretty suxyly. My opponents were quite happy about it - as they got to see a parade of my lgms parachuting down.

And Squishie, you're not a noob. You may be new to winbolo, but you're an experienced bolo vet. If I hear you say you're a noob one more time, why I'm gonna get MaddMaxx to call you on the phone and make you have a long conversation with him.

...gee thanks FireIce. I wouldn't call myself a vet just yet...maybe a skillful player. But thank you :)

I sometimes get frustrated with a teammate also, but I try to only voice my frustration if I have something positive to offer them. In other words, contstructive criticism. And it'll only be about something that I SAW THEM DO. If they got rolled out of their quad, I just accept it unless I saw something they did that was dumb in pillview. I don't just say "well you're better than the player on the other side of your quad, you should have been able to take them." It's not fair to say that because I didn't see what happened over there, plus I sometimes will lose a pillwar to someone who is allegedly not as good as me. I make alot of mistakes. May he who is without sin...

Very recently I was in a 2x2 and the player opposite his quad made a crucial mistake and lost all his pills and died. I picked them all up and spiked his quad before he could get back. They tried to hold their last quad together for a while, but eventually lost. All the while when we had them on the ropes, the one player who dropped the pills at the beginning of the game made comments several times to his teammate about bad moves, bad lgm fixes, etc. And I'm thinking, how dare you criticize him when you are the reason you're down to one quad in the first place!!
