No, seriously.
This is a request for mods to start using their power. We, the community, would like to see some action. Maybe the mod-only forum is still being worked on, and that's fine. But in the near future, we want to see some of the crap gone off this forum.
Here's the points I have so far.
So go ahead, prove yourseleves. Your first task? Pwn this crap I wrote!

I seriously can't believe you didn't lock or destroy it. But go ahead, let''s see the policy in action.

I'm trying to prove a point that the guidelines aren't good enough. If this isn't found innappropriate then something is definitely wrong. Most forums have a "no crap" policy. (ie, leet speak, illegible crap, general space wasting nonsense) People here will probably object to such a rule, because it violates their "free speech".
That's bullshit.
Elvis or any one of the mods will probably never implement a no crap policy because it doesn't please absolutely everyone. If you try pleasing everyone, you end up pleasing no one. Sure, right now you're satisfying little idiots with nothing better to do by giving them the ability to create crap (basically spam) like this. However, what about the literate, smart, civilized people that actually might have something contributive to say on this forum? The have to wade through piles of crap. Are the pleased? Fuck no. I'm not.
Maybe it's not such a big problem right now, but if winbolo ever gets bigger, or WANTS to get bigger, then the crap needs to stop now. All online games and their forums have to deal with this. They do fine. Why can't we?
Which is why I opt for a "no-crap" policy, and use this as a demonstration of a type of thread which is just plain, un-needed bullshit. WE need to stop wish-washiness and get our shit together. If this ever wants to go anywhere. Maybe it's just a little online game. But it could become something much more. Which is why something needs to be done. Now.
P.S. Maybe a "junk drawer" thread that doesn't appear on the frontpage, as Nova suggested? That way, we can still have fun, make jokes, fuck around, and no one can care.

My idea was an entire forum, actually. And I think that'd work out for the best. If a mod doesn't think that a thread is appropriate then they can move it to the junk drawer. I can't imagine why anyone would bitch about this, but it's worth at least a shot. If it somehow doesn't work out (best-laid plans of mice and men 'n' all that) we could re-vote and make it the way it was.
Maybe this can apply to stupid posts, too. Get rid of the post, but put the "unabridged" version in the Junk Drawer.
And as a sidenote, Q, if you want to make a point about something don't do what you're trying to lobby against. The biggest problem in this world is that people don't understand that when you do something, you promote it. Or, at least, they don't really care. I'm not saying that this kills the cause for a junk drawer thread, it's just been an issue in the back of my mind that's been nagging me.

Too much extra space taken up because of one bad post. We're trying to cut the crap, remember? I think bad posts in an otherwise fine topic would be moved to the mod only forum where they could be voted on for deletion.
However, some rules should still apply to the junk drawer forum. We don't want it to just to be full of hentai pr0n, computer virus downloads, advertising, ect. We would, however, be allowed to goof around, go off topic, l33t speak, and all that crap. So, a more appropriate term would be an "off topic" forum.
Oh and Nova, I wanted to see at first if the mods would do anything about it, and if not I would post this request. I realise I could have brought up any one of the stupid threads that were made on this forum as an example. But where's the fun in that? :D

You'll notice they have an off-topic forum, and it has very specific and well thought out rules. Perhaps they could be adapted for an off topic forum here?
Or, the general chat forum could be our off-topic forum, and these basic rules could be adapted to all of the forums. (On this site)
You'll notice one of the rules is no spam. Is this thread not spam? Yet, 'tis not gone. Hmm... maybe the mods need to crack down harder?
I'm sure they'd love to, but they might be stripped of their power, like ud. Why did that happen again? Oh yeah, total bs whiners. Elvis needs to be more firm instead of giving into complaing.
....AND THE MODS NEED TO PWN SOME SPAMMING NEWBS! YOU HAVE THE POWER! USE IT!
