i am having a map contest! (follow on from 'ud's contest)

there are groups\teams of map makers.

-Best Open Game Map
-Best Strict Map
-Best Art Map
-Best Game-Theme Map (Tix-Tox Pillbox, Bridge Over the River Kwai, etc.)

-anything else

You might want to edit your post so your e-mail looks like "metric810 at hotmail dot com." Having it out there like that is a good way to get lots of spam.

Should the maps be playable (meaning are you also judging on playability), or can we just mapify anything and submit it?

The categories don't really make a whole lot of sense, either. What the hell are "home made" maps? I mean, versus the ones you buy at the store?

they do not need to be playeble but they can if you want to


like remember making maps with good old bolo reich with no thumbnail veiw
not like your wild maps nova just regular maps with no symetry....

You might want to just go ahead and use the same categories that UD did. Yours don't really make any sense and are probably bound to create confusion.

I don't really know... the atmosphere just doesn't feel right for a contest. But if you do get a contest running, more power to ya, and depending on how busy I am (big project coming up) I'll be a judge.

The contest is starting on the first of june, Good luck to everyone who partisaptes.
