everything should be logged. private and public messages as well. If your saying stuff you'll regret later in game .. you should be made to regret it. maybe you'll smarten up a bit about it.

praps if you dont want ppl to see what you're saying...use private chat, and that wont be logged. all players chat should.
I love log viewers! Make it shareware... I'll happily pay for it. Bolo is a great spectator game, especially when good players are involved.
Will the client be able to create a log? Right now, many (most?) play on bots. I'd like to be able to selectively save to my own hard drive.
Is the format of a log file going to be posted for all the other programmers who play Winbolo? :? :?
If it is, then other people will probably use it to conjure up files that never really happened.
Also, if it is, I'm thinking of a 3-d log viewer.
First off,
Thank you so muhc ELVIS for doing everything you have done. THis is awesome and i think the log viewer will bring this game to a new level. Although it wont really change the way the game is played, it will be much easier for people to learn different stragegies, and this will keep games in order (proves evidence of people starting early, using hacks, many things).
Also, i dont know if you have mentioned this at all, but i think it would be a good idea for the log viewer to include the parachute lgm uses after dieing use,I am sure that this is included but just incase, i thought i would mention it, seeing as i have been said to use LGM hacks, so my lgm spawns in the corner i die.. lol.. sure sticks... anyways... that would be nice also..
On another note, i have a spare 120 gig HD, that will be used for hosting recorded games like i was saying with BOLOserv. I think this log viewer will be great, and everyone who records games, can send them to my bot if they want, so the game would be available for everyone to download and watch if they feel the need.
This would be really cool for games between really experinced players, because the less experienced players could download, and watch how the pros do it..
