Arabu

Arabu is a rather obvious tribute to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with its
8-spoked rims and funky layout. It's a very interesting 2x3 or 3x3 map,
with lots of fallback space, a good balance between a pillwar and
baserape game, ample and evenly spaced trees, yet it's relatively easy
to traverse the map.

Baringi

Baringi is a small 2x2 tournament map, with a filled center and walls in
the right places to ensure that the focus of the gameplay is usually a
pillwar rather than a spikefest. Twin safe bases in the corners and
trick-take pills give it flavor that's like a cross between "Filled Chew
Toy" and "Easter Island III"

Cubosh

Cubosh is a fun map, remeniscent of some of the Chew Toys, but with some
important differences. The map is relatively balanced, in that it's not
particulary easy to spike, rape, pillwar, etc. -- so you can pick and
choose your style of play and go with it.

Daputa

Ideal for 3x3 or larger games, Dupata is also a good 2x2 map, with its
diagonal starts and safe bases in each quadrant of the octogon that
makes up its underlying structure. The filled center and the fact that
each section of this octogonal map is seperated by wedge-like walls
makes for good pillwars and mobile fronts, while still giving you ample
space to fall back.

Etaka

Etaka is a fun 2x2 or 3x3 map (it may be a touch big for 1x1) that
sports very few walls to corral you, however the pillbox and base
placement also makes it much less of a vulture/ baserape map than, say,
many of the Chew Toys. It's slightly larger size and evenly distributed
bases allow for plenty of fallback, and the center is an important
stronghold to catpure.

Fitzhu

Fitzhu is a different take on the traditional 2x2 maps, with quadrants
that are loosely sectioned (and thus can be prone to flanking), all
focused towards the middle of the map, where vicious pillwars typically
errupt. It isn't everyone's cup of tea, but you definitely won't have a
peaceful or boring game on this map.

Genjji

Genjji is a large map with starts only on the east and west sides,
shaped like two axe blades clashing together in the middle, where
(predictibly) a large pill-line/front emerges. Because of it's size, 3x3
or more players is probably a good idea, and there is quite a bit of
room to fall back, regroup, and mount another offensive after having
been beaten back.

Jannark

Jannark is a relatively large map, best for 3x3 or more, but you can get
a decent 2x2 game out of it as well. The five pillars allow for a great
deal of mobilty and fallback space, while still seperating the game into
relatively distinct fronts. Access to the middle of the map ensures that
enemies (and allies, hopefully) will be coming at you from all sides.

Kasteel

Kasteel is a "petal map" meant for 2x2 games, in which players fight
their way out of their respective starting corners, culminating in a
pillwar in the middle that can get tasty. The trees in the middle allow
for decent ambushing, and the bases on each "petal" are spaced out
enough so that one spike can't cover an entire corner.

Lathem

Looking like a strand of DNA or a figure-8, Lathem is a rather
non-traditional 2x2 map. The deep water in the middle sections seperates
the battle onto two distinct fronts, yet the interleaving land allows
for good mobility should you need to help your ally. The starts are only
north and south, so dying can hurt if you end up on the wrong side of
the map (but it also can allow for decent surprise attacks from the
back).

Marange

Marange (rhymes with "Orange") is a relatively open 2x2 or more player
map, with base and pill placement just a bit different than most maps of
it's ilk. The open playfield makes for fun, unrestricted pillwars, while
the location of the pillboxes and bases prevents a "rush and rape/spike"
strategy from being as effective as on some maps. Overall, a very
enjoyable "similar but different" experience.

Mendal

Mendal is reminiscent of "Chaos II" with its walkways on the sides,
allowing for relatively easy (but conspicuous) access to your enemy's
corner. Meant for 2x2 or more players, it is also realively spacious (as
far as maps like this go), and has walkways in the middle of the map for
further allow for sneak advances or hasty retreats.

Skathe

Dubbed "Jannark Jr.", Skathe is a 2x2 map that combines the best
elements of Filled Chew Toy and Chew Toy III. It's not easy to
spike/rape/ambush right off of the bat on this map, yet you also have
mobility in the middle, so you can quickly get from one area to another.
This makes for partitioned pillwars happening on all sides, which can
get quite interesting.

Tenejam

Tenejam is a relatively small map, suitable for 1x1, 2x2, or more, if
you're looking for a fast and furious game. The starts are only
north/south, with a filled center, so the battles take place on distinct
fronts, yet it is easy to get from one front to another, or to fall back
should lady luck be against you. A single spike can cover an entire
corner, although it isn't very easy to spike right off of the bat.
