Last day to enroll in FBL
Dec 14, 2004 15:58
I've extended the enrollment period a couple of days, mainly because I found a bug on some of the pages when the enrollment period has run out. If you can't make this one, I'll start another one next ...

Today is the last day to enroll in the December '04FBL. http://fermat.winbolo.us/bolo/leaguestandings.asp I've reduced the number of divisions from 3 to 2. So far we are pretty successful; have some g...

Another League Format

Note also that I don't think it'll fly perfectly every time... Remember it is all in fun, and if things don't work out in a division one time around, maybe it'll work better in the next league a month...
Another League Format

I think the idea will be to choose a # of divisions so that the number of players in them is no larger than 5 or 6. Before we attempt this league, we'll take a poll and see how much interest there is....
Another League Format

I'd like to present another league format for discussion. I post it here not as a proposal, but simply to engage in some dialog, and determine its merits and pitfalls. IBL will not work with our curre...
Announcement of 1x1 tourny
Nov 18, 2004 19:26
I agree also that a fee is a bad idea. I don't think we have enough good players for an elimination tournament to really work like it should, but I think people (including myself) will play in a tourn...

I use a low-tech spawning solution... A simple vbs script. Drop the following code into a file with a .vbs extension and double-click it from windows. This has the advantage of having a game console w...

My thoughts so far, a top 10 list

Welcome back Arizona... Starting around September, the number of games/players significantly dropped off... Probably because of the start of school. But in general there are quite a few more good play...
Team All Mighty

How about Min/Hard8? In games that ended up counting in the logs, they are 9 and 1 this year compared to your 10 and 1: http://fermat.winbolo.us/bolo/toplist.asp?team_size=2
Updates to Fermat's Logs

I figured you'd like it sheeps... You can click on the column headers on the teams page to change the sort. For things like pct, you might also want to specify a minimum games played such as 5, otherw...

You are that high on the ladder because of your 25 1x1 wins from Feb to Jun of last year: http://fermat.winbolo.us/bolo/gamehistory.asp?p=Min&t=1&r=r Since you've been idle the rest of the tim...

10/04/2004 Now that lgm kills appear in the logs, I have reloaded all logs (for all games with registered players) to include lgm kills. Lgm snipes are now displayed on the player info and top players...

Ah, so that was you at the tourny who was armorless most of the time! I thought it was HB. Winbolo certainly has differences from bolo, but I've long since forgotten or care what those differences are...
Lgm kills... errr, it's back
Sep 19, 2004 23:57
It will take me a day or two, but I'll definitely add this to my site. I'm curious though... Does it register a kill if the lgm was lost by rebuilding a pb that gets shot by a player? I find most of m...

Cool stuff! Perhaps change the "Links" link to "Links and Downloads"? I know that when I go to try new software, the first thing I look for is "Downloads". I've noted before that this is missing from ...
